It appears now that I must fork? out a passport or get
.......... birth-certificate, go to Manheim & obtain a passport from the consul
there. If I try to get a birth-certificate I know from experience that will mean
a delay of about a month, meanwhile fines will build up against me & all sorts
of trouble will follow. I dont see why .... could not fill up that form, get it
signed & present it yourself at the proper place and then forward the passport
when you get it. You see what a mess has been made of it. If you dont manage
that let me know & I'll write to Airth & (though they'll take weeks & weeks) &
then get a pass in Manheim meanwhile I am feeling abominably annoyed with these

Many thanks for yours, of this morning. Did a little bird tell you. I would like
some of Cheddar not having any & knowing it so well. I've been there 4
times.
It is a pretty view, & any you are able to get shall be delighted. How do you
like this style of card? Mrs M. we have not seen so I think it was a stray one
at least we hope so. My girl does her work well but is slow, & comes late of a
morning, still she may improve. She is very clean & respectable & wears print
dresses in the morning, & I think she tries to please. I shall give her a good
trial. Poor Loo wants to get well to(o) soon still can understand. My

morning & leave there at 1.40. The train came right thro' without even stopping
at Bristol. I must hope now that I shall have a chance of calling on the return
journey, 3 or 4 weeks hence. We at once came to the above address which Aunt
Hilda got for me & I think will turn out to be very comfortable rooms. Wil(l)?
garden too where we shall be able to pick raspberries in a day or two. also
plenty of flowers about a mile from the Castle though. - Enjoyed the short stay
at Keynsham. Dora wants to know whether it is possible to get a holiday on the
Quantocks somewhere. perhaps Aunt Eliza? mentioned it. Please send the paper

like today very stormy. By Bye for a bit. I'll try & write next week. Love to

Dear Miss Hall Many very happy returns of the 11th. Hope you all
enjoyed your holidays. Did you travel by boat? We had a terrible time returning.
All ill except 2. All ladies stayed in bed except 2. I was not one of those, so
had my 1st whole day in bed. Stewardess too ill to see to anyone. I was quite
alright as long as I lay down. Have had a grand time since we came back, spent a
good deal of time on the moors, done a lot of motoring. Wish some of you could
call in & see me sometimes. My brother & his fiance are here at present so we
are giving them a good time. I make a splendid chaperone, so just send word if
you need one. Love to all from Eva & G. Saunders.
